BREAKING NEWS – All 50 Republican senators vote to KILL first vote on $1trillion infrastructure bill: Democrats fail to get 10 rebels to advance vote – but Schumer says he will try AGAIN
Senate Republicans, as promised, killed a $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill on Wednesday, arguing they wouldn’t vote for the legislation until they saw a final version of it.
The final vote was 49 for it and 51 against. Not a single Republican voted for it, including any of the senators who are working with Democrats to come to an agreement on a bipartisan bill.
Democrats needed 10 Republican votes to reach the 60 senator supermajority to advance the legislation.
